Another piece in the SPLATTER PORTRAIT SERIES.

I dug out some really old liquid watercolor paints that I had from high school. I found the perfect read, it was half dried up and all clumpy, when I added a bit of water to the bottle I got some really cool chunks - it looked like real blood!

ASH vs THE HAT BOX GHOST

Gearing up for Halloween!
Two more for the SPLATTER PORTRAIT SERIES...

First up ASH from Army of Darkness as played by Bruce Campbell - nobody plays knuckle-head hero better than Campbell. This one was tough, as I started this one, my hand tremors kicked in - making it a challenge to draw and paint and there was text too boot... and I hate text in my pieces. In the end I think it came out pretty GROOVY.

Next, the Hat Box Ghost from Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. This guy was originally in the attic portion of the ride, but was removed in the early weeks of the ride opening for being too scary for the little ones. He later made re-purposed appearances as other characters in the ride.
